The short answer
We don’t have accounts and we don’t set cookies ourselves. We count reading in aggregate, and we receive personal information only when you send us a message. If we show ads served by Google, Google uses cookies, and you can opt out of personalized ads.
This policy explains how HFH Financial (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you visit hfhfinancial.com (the “site”), and the choices you have.
What we collect
Reading-depth counts
On article pages a small script counts how far readers get, in steps of 25%. It does not use cookies or any other identifier, and it collects no personal information. For each count we store only:
- the page address,
- the depth reached (25, 50, 75 or 100%),
- the email campaign tags (
utm_campaignandutm_content) if you arrived from one of our emails.
We use these counts only to learn which articles are read and how far.
Web analytics
If we turn on Cloudflare Web Analytics, it counts page views and measures page performance in aggregate.Cloudflare Web Analytics does not use cookies, does not build a profile of you and does not follow you across other websites.
Contact-form messages
When you use our contact form we receive the email address you give, your name if you give it, the topic you choose and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message, to handle corrections and privacy requests, and to keep a record of what was asked and answered. We don’t add you to a mailing list and we don’t sell or share these details for advertising. Messages are passed to the service our editors use to read them. We keep a message only as long as we need it for these purposes, and we delete it sooner if you ask.
Technical information
Like any website, the site is delivered by a hosting provider (Cloudflare), which processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. We don’t store your IP address with reading-depth counts or contact-form messages.
Cookies
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. We don’t set any cookies ourselves: the reading-depth counts and Cloudflare Web Analytics work without them. This site does not currently show ads. If it does, our advertising partner, Google, and the vendors it works with will set and read cookies (and similar technologies) to serve and measure ads, as described below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them.
Advertising and Google
We may show display ads served by Google AdSense.Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalized advertising from Google in Google Ads Settings.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info(the WebChoices opt-out tool).
- Google explains how it uses information from sites that show its ads in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services, and how it uses cookies in advertising on its advertising policy page.
We don’t work directly with any other ad network. Ads shown through Google may come from other ad technology vendors that take part in Google’s ad auctions; if we add another ad network, we will name it here with a link to its opt-out.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland
Where the law requires consent, a consent message provided by Google (a Google-certified consent management platform) asks for your choice before personalized ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time through the privacy or cookie settings link that message places on the page. If you don’t consent, you may still see non-personalized ads.
Your US state privacy rights
If you live in California or another US state with a consumer privacy law (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia or Utah), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information, including for targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising. We won’t treat you differently for using these rights.
We don’t sell personal information for money. If we show personalized ads served through Google, that may count as “sharing” under California law.To opt out (“Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information”):
- turn off personalized ads in Google Ads Settings; or
- send us a request through our contact form, choosing the topic “Privacy request”.
To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, use the contact form with the topic “Privacy request”. We confirm requests by writing to the email address you give, and we answer within the time the law requires (45 days under California law). An authorized agent may make a request for you.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us through the contact form and we will delete it.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS, and we collect as little as we can. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we receive.

We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it last changed; please check it when you visit.
